When are AirTrap® Swabs the right choice?
AirTrap® Swabs and AirTrap® XL Cassettes answer different diagnostic questions. Use the swabs if you:
- want to identify visible mold infestation and assign it to a species
- want to specifically examine suspicious discolorations or stains
- need to check hard-to-reach areas – e.g., air conditioners, ventilation shafts, joints, undersides of sinks, or behind fixtures
- want to take multiple random samples at different locations in a property
For an assessment of general indoor air quality – i.e., the concentration of spores in the air – we recommend the AirTrap® XL Starter Complete Set or the AirTrap® XL Refill Pack instead.
How it works
- Sampling: Remove sterile AirTrap® Swabs from the sealed packaging, wipe them over the surface to be examined, and seal them in the protective sleeve.
- Return: Send the sample swabs to our partner laboratory in the enclosed pre-paid return envelope.
- AI Analysis: Within a few working days, you will receive a detailed Sporecyte™ analysis report directly via email. Every result is checked by experts before reporting.
